Brent Rineck Senior Vice President
Brent Rineck has overall responsibility for all development and service of BenefitPoint products. Brent joined BenefitPoint in February 2000. The company became part of Vertafore in September 2006.
Brent joined BenefitPoint from InsWeb Corp., where he led the product planning efforts for the organization's life, health, and annuity applications. Prior to InsWeb, Brent spent 13 years at Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee. He began in the new product development area of Information Systems, and later became a senior sales specialist in the Marketing department.
Brent received his MBA from Marquette University, and earned a BBA in Management Information Systems at University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. He has also earned the CLU, ChFC, RHU, and REBC designations from the American College.
Jose Altamirano
Director of Information Technology
Jose Altamirano is responsible of all IT Operations at BenefitPoint supporting the development effort and the 24/7 hosting of a the application. Jose joined BenefitPoint in February 2000.
Jose joined BenefitPoint from PeopleSoft, Inc., where he was a manager of Education Services Global IT and later of Technical Translation Services. Prior to PeopleSoft, Jose was a Territory Support Manager at AT&T (Northwest Region). Jose started his IT career in the non-profit sector as part of Head Start as Director of MIS.
Jose received his B.A. from University of Portland, Cum Laude, double majoring in Business Management and Marketing.
Jeffrey Cole
Director of Business Intelligence
Jeffrey Cole is responsible for the management and development of the Business Intelligence team and products at BenefitPoint. The Business Intelligence team is responsible for the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of the BenefitPoint Business Intelligence application, the benchmarking and mail merge products, and the reports within BenefitPoint.
Before joining BenefitPoint in 1999, Jeff was a Senior Consultant for a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) vendor. He was responsible for designing and implementing solutions for customers by configuring and customizing the vendor's packaged client/server, web or mobile products to fit the customer needs.
Jeffrey Cole received a Bachelors of Science in Information and Computer Science, Cum Laude, with a Minor in Management from University of California at Irvine.
Jill Harrington
Director of Client Services
Jill Harrington joined BenefitPoint in 2007 with over twenty years senior management experience in telecommunications, internet streaming media, ecommerce, fulfillment, and business consulting industries with publicly held corporations, a start-up company, and a small privately owned healthcare consulting firm.
Jill's experience includes the leadership of customer service operations, network operations, service management and project management teams. She has performed performance management, thought leadership, strategic and tactical planning, escalation management, and process improvement for greater efficiencies while galvanizing customer relationships.
Before joining BenefitPoint in 2007, Jill led teams and performed individual contributor roles at Pacific Bell, SBC, iBEAM Internet Broadcasting, Williams Communications, Zomax, Freed & Associates healthcare consulting. Jill graduated from University of San Francisco in 1995 with a BS in Organziational Behaviour.
Michelle Lewis
Product Director
Michelle Lewis is responsible for overall product planning of the BenefitPoint application. To ensure that BenefitPoint continues to meet the needs of employee benefits professionals, Michelle works with our user community soliciting and prioritizing functional enhancements to the application. As a key member of the Product Development organization, Michelle works directly with development to size, scope, design and manage release contents.
Before joining BenefitPoint in 1999, Michelle spent over 6 years as an HR Employee Benefits Manager, mostly for companies with 200 - 400 employees. In addition to managing fully insured, self-funded and retirement plans, Michelle also designed, developed and implemented an in-house benefits administration solution.
Michelle Lewis earned a BS in Physical Anthropology from the University of California, Davis and spent a year in Kenya studying monkeys.
Daniel Renaghan
Director of Software Engineering
As Director of Software Engineering, Daniel has responsibility for the development and support of BenefitPoint's client management and procurement application. Daniel joined BenefitPoint in May 2000.
Prior to working for BenefitPoint, Daniel worked with SAIC as a software engineer developing a Clinical Data Repository for Kaiser Permanente, and then with the architecture team designing a National Clinical Information System. Prior to SAIC, Daniel spent 6 years with CliniComp,Intl. developing a Clinical Information System application, eventually becoming a development manager for the application. Daniel started his career as a software engineer with NCR Corporation in San Diego, CA.
Daniel received his BS from University of California, Santa Barbara.
